On the shores of the Ohio River and with a second state with which to work (Kentucky), the city of Cincinnati has a ton of outdoor options for a birthday or corporate party. Check out some of our favorites here.

 

Otto Armleder Memorial Park

Just east of downtown is this enormous, 305 acre park. There are almost 7 miles of running trails and a dog park here. Picnics in the grass and tables are free but you can rent their pavilion at this link by calling the phone number listed, 513- 961-1584.

Swaim Park

Northeast of Cincy is this park with a pond and walking trails. This diverse park has plenty of active and passive spaces for you to enjoy at your party. There is a famous festival every October here for the entire family. They have two tennis courts, fishing pier, sand volleyball, playgrounds, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, baseball fields, and a soccer field. Moreover, they have two picnic shelters that you can find here to rent. Use the same link to reserve one of the lodges, which can hold either 45 guests and costs $400 for non residents and $250 for locals.

Fernbank park

West of downtown is this park right on the river. There is more than a mile of riverfront area in this hidden gem. The park has over a mile of walking/running paths as well. There are three picnic shelters available to reserve at the following link. Lastly, they have an indoor lodge that you can also rent at this link. The lodge is $700 to rent for an entire day.

Devou Park

South of the river in Kentucky sits this huge park with amazing views of downtown Cincinnati. The sprawling overlook provides stunning views of Covington, Kentucky as well. The park is over 700 acres and has been around for 100+ years. They have scenic walking trails and a golf course. Picnic table use is free on a first come, first serve basis. However, you can rent a picnic shelter at this link

Washington Park

Close to downtown, this park is open until 11 PM nightly. They have a dog park and a water park for kids, as well as a children’s play area. They have something called the Sherwin-Williams Porch, which serves alcohol and can be rented at this link. Prices are not shown online.

Ault Park

Close by Armleder park, this one is much smaller and run by a nonprofit organization. They have a historic 1930’s pavilion that can be rented at this link. Their website is devoid of information about rentals and prices but the park looks lovely and has all sorts of walking trails, a pond, and regular events.
